Tasman SV Consulting Group is a specialist company providing mechanical design, engineering consulting, certification & compliance for a wide range of industry requirements including: heavy vehicles, buses, special purpose vehicles, safety structures for cranes/heavy-plant, elevating work platforms, forestry, mining & construction equipment under DOL, NZTA and OSH requirements.

Tasman SV, formerly Tasman Special Vehicles, has operated in the heavy vehicle and mechanical industry for almost 50 years. Tasman SV is New Zealand owned and operated in Wellington office, but we work countrywide.

Machinery & Equipment Certification (DOL/OSH)

DOL, OSH & NZTA Approved

To maintain safety, many industry standards call for a Chartered Professional Engineer or NZTA (New Zealand Transport Agency) approved certifier to certify a multitude of vehicles, devices and equipment. Tasman SV has onboard 4 Chartered Professional Engineers. As a result we are able to effect safe and positive change in the mechanical & transport industries.

Tasman SV has a full library of manufacture ready drawings.

Being NZTA Heavy Vehicle certifyers and CPEng backed, customers can take our drawings straight to manufacture with the knowledge that they are tried and tested. We will only certify work that has been carried out by qualified or certified manufacturers / welders.

Each drawing has full documentation, certification requirements, manufacture ready parts, dxf’s etc.
