With a lifetime experience in a wide range of engineering activities around the world TSV’s Director Denis Smith is well placed to advise on technical engineering matters and present balanced evidence for mediation or court hearings.
Denis is also able to call on his partners in TSV, his associates in other engineering consultancies and his contacts at The University of Auckland, for additional support and expertise.

OSH Investigation
Safe working practices, safety equipment, equipment failure, cranes and elevating platforms. An example was recently screened on TV1’s special investigator program.

Mining – underground mining practices, open cast mining, quarrying, forestry applications, railway operation and maintenance.
Light Engineering
Equipment failure process plant operation Automotive and accident Analysis of all aspects of light and heavy vehicle design and operation, braking systems, steering systems, towing connections, crash analysis, seatbelt design.
Energy applications
Use of alternative fuels biogas, bio diesel, manufacture storage and use in vehicles and plants. Anaerobic digestion of refuse and sewage.
