To meet the requirements of Department of Labour Code of Practice, all Elevating Work Platforms must undergo a major examination every 5 years and regular inspections every 6 months. TSV has extensive experience carrying out both types of inspections and have further prepared pre-printed check sheets to enable operators to record their own daily and weekly checks.
MAJOR EXAMINATION In line with the Code of Practice TSV has developed its own testing procedures. By coordinating these procedures with manufacturers’ instructions, we can carry out most examinations without unnecessary disassembling of the machine. EXTERNAL SUPPLIERS TSV uses ISO 9001 accredited external specialist suppliers for in-place testing of pins and critical welds, etc. By using these ‘non invasive’ procedures, which are standard for the rail, marine and aviation industries, TSV can ensure the machines comply in all respects to the requirements of the Code of Practice at the lowest possible cost and shut down time.
MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES Our team of engineers can also analyse your fleet operating requirements and set up maintenance procedures for Planned Preventative Maintenance Programmes that can avoid unnecessary repairs and breakdowns. This will ensure that your fleet operates at maximum efficiency and reliability. TSV would like to offer its service and experience for all your machinery and equipment, including workshop Health and Safety audits and Quality Assurance support.
